About the Teacher

MeTori and Me

My name is Kim Copeland. I am a native of Charleston, born and raised in Summerville. My wonderful daughter, Tori, is a student at Charleston County School of the Arts and is currently in the tenth grade. She is a theater major.  At home, we have two dogs (Mia and Coraline), plus a cat (Isabella). I am a graduate of Summerville High School and a graduate of the College of Charleston, with a Bachelor of Science in Business. A few years later, I returned to college and attended Western Governors University, where I received a Bachelor of Arts and a Master's degree in Elementary Education. I am blessed to be a part of the Orange Grove family, where we support each other and our students. Before my daughter was born, I had already decided that I wanted her to be a student of Orange Grove. I had no idea at the time that I would have the privilege of working here as well! I have heard people say that if you love your job you are lucky because not everyone has that opportunity. I am one of those lucky people and being at OGCS makes it even better! Thank you for allowing me to educate your children. I will help them grow and find success in their learning. We will work as a team with strong effort to achieve our goals!
